Congratulations, you are pregnant! An exciting and special time lies ahead. Whether this is your first baby or you are already a mother, every pregnancy brings questions and uncertainties.
If you have had a positive test with us, we will invite you for a first ultrasound scan at around 7 weeks. With this (transvaginal) scan, we check whether the pregnancy is progressing normally and whether there is a heartbeat.
Everything looks good – what next?
If we see that everything is fine, we will refer you to the right healthcare provider for the rest of your pregnancy. This may be a gynaecologist or a community midwife. For us, this is often where your journey with us ends and we say goodbye in person.
Sadly, things do not always go as hoped
If the pregnancy is not progressing normally, we are here for you. Together we will make a plan and support you in a way that suits you. We take our time, explain things clearly and give you space for your emotions.

Around your due date, we will get in touch with you, because we would love to know how your pregnancy went. You can easily share the outcome with us through a short online questionnaire. This feedback helps us to keep improving our care.
